This trip down the rabbit hole gets even more interesting as the Black Snow Princess reveals her stormy past in the Brain Burst world and the reason she needs Haruyuki's help.
Much of it centers on Chiyu, Haru's long-time friend. The Princess claims that it might be Chiyu who has been hunting her recently in the game and who may also have discovered her real-world identity. Haru pledges to help - by cabling with Chiyu.
What follows is a very well done scene (8thSin has a great analysis of it on his site) wherein Haru and Chiyu cable (which is an incredibly intimate act in the Accel World universe, usually reserved for lovers) and hash out the conflict in their relationship that has been brewing over the last few episodes. All the while Haru is frantically looking for information as to whether Chiyu is a Burst Linker.
This episode keeps up the interesting pace and narrative tightness of the first two eps. Additionally, as Taku and Chiyu are developed in the storyline, their characters are becoming more textured and more interesting. This is one of the top shows of the season. Easy.
