Tanken Driland 2

While I had warmed to the first episode of Driland, this second one left a little wanting. Princess and Wellons meet up with a new member of their party, Pollons. A bumbling coward, Pollons has always wanted to be a hero. When a fairy village begs them for help, Pollons jumps at the chance, but will he and his new friends be able to deliver.

As you can imagine, what follows is cutesy outtakes and a lot of moralistic rah-rahing. I was a little disappointed. I still think this will turn out to be a cute and endearing little romp. But I can watch that later.

Tanken Driland 1

Princess Mikoto wants more than anything to be a hunter - to explore the world and find lost treasures. But, being a princess, she has responsibilities she must take care of, right?

This show looks like it actually has a lot of potential and, from this first ep, looks to be of a kin with Moretsu Pirates: slightly ridiculous on the surface, but too much fun to dislike.

One fun aspect of the show is the old school RPG feel to it. The feel is much like Lunar or Grandia but made into a series. If it makes good on that similarity, this could end up as an enjoyable series.
