Natsuiro Kiseki 1-2:

Tamayura meets K-ON! in this girls' school life series. Four girls - Saki, Natsumi, Rin, and Yuka - are childhood friends whose world gets shaken up at the news that one of their own has a big change coming up. It's then that a wishing rock takes center stage in their "miraculous summer."

If you like these kinds of shows, it's not bad. It's not as cute as Tamayura and is more angsty than K-ON!. The art is done by the same folk that gave you Misaka Mikoto and Ookami and her seven companions. Which is a plus.

Some downers would be the rather obvious lack of a point (so far). Another would be Saki, who is unpleasant. Forget the BS about not telling her best friends she's moving, she yells at her mom like some spoiled brat (though, if my folks told me that we were moving midway through middle school I would be pissy too...overlooking the fact that middle schoolers are pissy period).

And there is lots of J-pop in each episode. That again is up to taste.
