We pick up where we left off with Haruyuki entering and being demolished in his first Brain Burst battle.
Afterward, the Black Princess explains to him the nature of the Brain Burst fighting game. Faced with this rather intense reality, Haruyuki decides to answer the faith she has put in him and take on the challange.
This show still seems rather clever and is pointing toward a few interesting plotlines - the perfect girl with the dark secret, the triangle of friends trying to figure out their relationships with one another, and an odd metaverse with pourous boundaries.
