Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita 9-11

No actual screens from 11, but that's ok. Jinrui's normal insanity continues after the overly repetitive arc about the Assistant (though it wasn't nearly as bad as the Haruhi repeating summer nightmare... *shudder*). These episodes have a number of interesting underlying comments on civilization, governance, religion and the jokes they can sometimes (often?) turn out to be.

Misc 15

Sword Art Online was really enjoyable this week. While it was a total moe/loli obligatory episode, it was also nice to see Kirito not suffer in an episode. Dude's life is rough.

Tari Tari is slowing down even with more about Wakana's past coming to light. Kokoro Connect, on the other hand, is getting pretty serious and is doing a good job of it. Keep watching that one. Other than that, nothing too important to report.

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita 2

Ok, this show is a total acid trip. But, for some reason, i like it. The main character is amusing and the fairies say some damn funny stuff. I particuarly love the deadpan reactions she has to everything (oh, talking skinned chickens...no big deal). This show is by no means great, but it is certainly entertaining.

talking, sentient synthetic chickens. of course.

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita 1

Mankind is on the decline, low on resources, and is being passed up by fairies as the most adaptable species. But someone has to manage the relationship between humans and fairies and that's where the un-named mediator for the UN comes in.

if this doesn't scream acid trip...

At first glance, this comes off as an almost friendly far-future story of a kind with the glimpses of the future out of H.G. Wells' Time Machine (the book version. the movies always screw up what the future people are supposed to look like). The story looks somewhat interesting - there's much mystery woven into what all has transpired to set up the setting we emerge into as viewers - but a high level of absurdantist humor and narrative leaves an unsettled aftertast to the first ep.

...then surely the suicidal bread slice must.

I like the narrator/main character. She is spunky and crafty and is interesting enough. But another episode or two will answer whether this is going to be a mess of bizarre with plot or just a mess of bizarre.
