Rating System Explanation

A+ - A work of art. Anime in this category are must sees whether you a fan or not. Tightly written narratives, fantastic artistic work and production, and all the pathos you can handle. These are rare for ep ratings and rarer for shows.

A - very good. Well executed and written. Narrative makes sense and is gripping. The artwork is engrossing and production doesn't leave any holes.

A- - good. Solid shows and narratives that are definitely worth watching. My favorite shows in any given season should consistently bat around this average.

B+ - pretty good. Not the best show ever, but no waste of time. Narratives may have some noticable holes, characters may be poorly developed, production may have some rendering problems, etc. But the overall effect is quite enjoyable.

B - alright. These are into the give-or-take range. They are pretty well done, but there's nothing particularly special about them. May have big plot-holes, bad endings (in the "low quality" not "everyone dies" sense), and some lousey characters. You wouldn't miss out if you miss it.

B- - borderline. these are the type of shows that make you start to wonder if you are wasting your precious life away. They aren't necessarily bad, but they are obviously not good. Trite plotlines, terrible moralizing, awkward melodrama, etc. Or the main character is just friggin aweful.

C+ - not worth it.

C - unjustifiable waste of your time.

C- and below - these are actually of poor quality. As in, it's mind boggling that someone was paid to write, draw, edit, or produce something like this. you actually hope, to varying degrees based on how close to F you are getting, that someone lost money on this as a just reward for having the poor judgement to make something like this.
